GAMAA says negotiation is a core life skill and it is an acquirable skill, whether negotiating with clients, suppliers or colleagues, a substantial part of each day is spent negotiating.
A statement released by GAMAA says, “By understanding the phases of negotiation we can learn skills, which help us to constructively reach objectives and improve our relationships, professional and personal.”
The statement continues that through a highly interactive process the “Winning Negotiations” programme aims to:
- Provide participants with skills for managing the negotiation process;
- Highlight the potential for all parties to feel like winners;
- Experience the negotiation process as a source of satisfaction;
- Learn how to implement these skills in the workplace;
- Understand how well-managed negotiations can enhance client relations, and
- Gain insight into integrative negotiations and how to build value in a negotiating relationship.
GAMAA says that while the workshop is not restricted to managers in specific functions it will be of particular interest to managers handling procurement, HR managers, entrepreneurs, account managers, sales and marketing managers and general managers.
The workshop will be lead by Professor John Onto, whom according to GAMAA, is highly regarded for his extensive experience in business and his interactive group approach.
The workshop will be held at the Amora Hotel in Richmond, Melbourne on Friday July 25, running from 9am to 5pm.
