Garry Knespal, executive officer of GASAA says, “With so many firms requesting more time to put together their innovative entries, GASAA has made the decision to extend the date as to incorporate as many original entrant works in the Awards as possible.”
Meanwhile, the Federal Government has thrown its weight behind the programme with the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR) taking a Silver Sponsorship for the 2011 awards.
According to GASAA, the Awards have been created as a celebration and recognition of innovation, creativity and high quality in print in the graphic arts industry.
The DIISR acknowledges that GASAA’s Printovation Awards encourage innovation and creativity, satisfying the government’s objectives of developing innovation systems that drive knowledge creation, increasing international competitiveness and growing productivity.
Knespal says, “It is great to have the support of Government in the lead up to the event, this will assist us in the promotion of innovation and drive for knowledge within printing industry.
The Printovation Awards 2011 will be held in Melbourne on September 13 in conjunction with the GASAA PrintCom Expo 2011.
