
The DBMi Saddle System from Duplo took centre stage at in GBC’s showroom. GBC says this fully automated saddle stitcher can produce books from CD inserts to A4 landscape, and which it says delivers flatter, more precise results.
Commenting on the DBMi, Raj Dang, general manager of GBC says, “A lot of people have been asking for a product like this as it fits into so many applications within high growth markets. There are a lot of opportunities with this machine.”
According to GBC the Duplo DBMi is designed for today’s busy printer, and provides versatile and flexible solutions for the current saddle stitching market. It consists of two, three or four Hohner stitching heads, and up to six DSC-10/60i suction collators which have intelligent feeding capabilities for custom feed sequences.
Jimmy Nguyen national product manager at GBC Australia says, “As well as being capable of handling a variety of stocks it also has the ability to control the flow and strength of the air and vacuum in each collator bin, truly making this the heart of the system.”
Other commercial binding equipment on show included the Magnapunch 2 and the Fastback Strip binding range, the DC-645 with IFS System and the UltraCut 130 Desktop Card Cutter.
For creasing/folding the Eurofold Touchline CF-375 was on the floor, while for single-sided lamination and celloglazing the company introduced the GBC 360-AF Desktop Celloglazer.
GBC also had the complete range of EBA guillotines on display, as well as its B2C PrintShop web-to-print solution.
The company also had a number of Mimaki products on show, following GBC appointment as a Mimaki distributor for the Australian market.
