Geon removes its top manager in New Zealand

Instead the senior leadership team in Auckland will take charge of the business, and will report to a member of the company’s executive committee.

Graham Morgan, CEO of Geon says, “The removal of the executive general manager role in New Zealand continues our journey towards ?One Geon’ and the streamlining of our structures, systems and processes. It is important that our Australian and New Zealand businesses are closely aligned at all levels.

“We must continue to flatten our management structures so that we can make the right decisions quickly across Geon. This enables us to be highly responsive to the opportunities and challenges ahead of us.”

Geon’s move to chop the EGM role, and the costs associated with it, comes as the big players in print face increasing challenges, with PMP announcing it sees the market continuing to decline, and Blue Star having to be sold due to adverse sales. However IPMG has publicly challenged the print doomsayers, and says there is a bright future for customer focused printers.
