Geon will print the Queensland ballot papers and associated documents such as candidate booklets for any Federal election that occurs before the end of 2015.
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) renewed the contract with Geon, which initially won the work in 2010 before the last Federal election.
An AEC spokesperson told ProPrint that one other company had tendered for the job. She said it was a challenging contract to fulfil, particularly because all the printing had to be done on a weekend.
There is no option to extend the contract past 2015, she added.
Geon also has ongoing contracts to the end of 2015 to print ballots for Western Australia and Tasmania worth a combined $560,000.
Geon did not comment when contacted by ProPrint.
The electoral win follows $103,000 of new work recently awarded to Geon by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
An ASIC spokesperson said Geon would be printing MoneySmart publications and was "selected based on capability, ability to deliver, and overall value for money".
