Sprouting from the duo’s agreement is a package containing two of the company’s latest proofing solutions, providing comprehensive savings to customers who buy the bundle.
With the combined purchase of GMG ColorProof 2up/4up/8up or the GMG ColorServer and the X-Rite DTP 70, customers could save approximately $1000. In Australia, this package is offered by distributor of GMG ColorProof products, Kayell Australia.
Vice President of sales and business development at GMG ColorProof, Jawdatt Mawassii, says the distribution agreement provides greater options for users.
“Combining the X-Rite device with GMG software enables users to create reliable proofs fast and easy,” says Mawassii. “We always try to offer our customers optimised customer management solutions, he says.
His colleagues at X-Rite are just as optimistic about the amalgamation of the two leading proofing solutions, and X-Rite product manager of pre media after product solutions, Marc Levine says the inclusion of the X-Rite DTP 70 in the distribution gives colour management greater importance in the printing process.
“Thanks to GMG products, the expectations towards colour accuracy in the proofing world are very high. Having delta E values of less than one in the colour reproduction, really gives the accuracy and repeatability of colour measurement instruments more importance,” he says.
Sales and marketing manager at Kayell Australia, Rob Gatto, says the two software proofing systems are excellent high-end printing solutions which when bought as a bundled package from Kayell should save the customers money.
“The details of the package have yet to be compared against the X-Rite cost list in Australia, but certainly we are expecting the bundled package to be much cheaper than buying the two items independently,” he says.
X-Rite is a global leader offering colour measurement technology solutions comprising of hardware, software services for the verification and communication of colour data serving the graphic arts, digital imaging, industrial and retail industries.
GMG specialises in hi-end colour management solutions for the graphics arts industry. The company has sold over 10 000 systems to agencies, printers, newspapers converters and international printing plants.
