Green-tech added to Clean Print roadshow

Venues for some roadshows – including Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide – have changed due to higher than expected numbers of printers registering their attendance.

McDougall will host a segment focussing on LED lighting, solar hot water, solar air-conditioning, water recycling, solar photovoltaics, power factor correction, voltage optimisation and automation.

He is well known in the printing industry as the CEO of SkilledForce and as Printing Industries’ training partner for the delivery of lean manufacturing to Australian printing companies. McDougall is also a partner in CarbonWise Solutions, a company providing environmental impact reduction solutions.

His inclusion follows the addition of the industry’s leading digital and offset machinery manufacturers, Heidelberg and Fuji Xerox, who will focus on what can be achieved in the offset and digital press efficiency areas.

Ian Walz, Printing Industries national manager, Commercial Services, encouraged intending participants to enrol as soon as possible for their local free, three-hour workshop.

He says, “Strong registrations have necessitated finding a new venue for next week’s Sydney workshop on Wednesday April 18 which has been moved from Printing Industries Auburn office to the Banksia Room of Dooleys Lidcombe Catholic Club, 24-26 John Street, Lidcombe.

“Similarly, the Adelaide venue for the May 3 workshop has been moved from our Wayville office to the Adelaide Pavilion at Veale Gardens, cnr South Terrace & Peacock Road, Adelaide. We are also looking for a larger Melbourne venue and will provide advice when this has been finalised.

“This highlights the awareness of industry companies of the need to minimise their energy costs and maximise their productivity by getting access to practical, hand-on strategies through the use of cleaner printing technology.”

All sessions run from 8am to 11am. The amended national program is:

Brisbane – Tuesday April 17, Brisbane International Virginia, Cnr Sandgate & Zillmere Roads, Virginia.
Sydney – Wednesday April 18, Banksia Room, Dooleys Lidcombe Catholic Club, 24-26 John Street, Lidcombe.
