Hannapak opens doors to industry

Hannapak will throw open the doors of its Sydney plant next month to show the industry – except competitors – one of Australia’s biggest packaging operations.

The company, which produces and prints packaging for the pharmaceuticals, beverages, confectionery, cosmetics, whitegoods, household products, and shelf ready packaging, will show attendees around its vast North Richmond facility.

Hannapak says the site showcases the latest technology in manufacturing folding cartons and participants can see the complete supply chain from board stock holdings and sheeting through to the final stage of folder gluing.

All visitors must wear closed-in shoes and a safety vest. No loose clothing, no watches, jewellery, strictly no mobile phones or cameras in the factory. Glasses must have lanyards.

Places are limited and can be booked via the Australian Institute of Packaging, which is organising the event.

The tour begins at 11am on Wednesday February 25 and is free to AIP members, and $22 for everyone else.
