
The RMIT students created a 70 metre mural at the Notting Hill premises with 40 artworks as part of their Certificate IV design course.
Teacher Dale Nason said partnering with Heidelberg fit into the university’s philosophy of providing students with “authentic tasks that resemble real world experience”.
The students handled the entire brief, including sourcing suppliers, managing production, presenting the final concepts and working within strict branding guidelines.
Heidelberg’s general manager of sales and marketing, Alastair Hadley, praised the students for transforming “a dull construction fence into an original artwork”.
The two organisations have had a long association, he said.
