Anitech has the exclusive agency for HP Scitex in Australia, and has a relationship with HP going back 15 years. Anitech managing director Barry Grant says, “There are tremendous synergies between HP and Anitech which deliver significant benefits to the market. This investment highlights the commitment both companies have to printers and sign shops.”
Shane Lucas, director HP Graphic Arts South Pacific says, “This new showroom will provide the market with an opportunity to view a wide range of HP commercial and industrial printers in the one location. The new HP Anitech showroom will enable customers to view first hand the breadth of HP’s graphic arts solutions and to explore the creative applications possible with digital printing.“
The new showroom means companies looking at buying HP Scitex industrial wide format solutions will no longer need to travel up to Hong Kong for demonstrations. In addiition Grant says, “The showroom is not just populated with sales staff, their are applications speciallists and engineers as well.”
Both companies are bullish about the prospects for 2009, with Lucas saying HP would not have made the investment without there being substantial demand. According to Lucas HP Scitex sales grew by 35 per cent last year in Australia. Grant says the new showroom is the largest in Australia for wide format printing.
The new showroom will feature a range of printers from the HP Scitex and HP Designjet portfolios including the newly released HP Scitex FB950 flatbed printer, the HP Scitex XP2700 printer and the HP Designjet Z series. The showroom will also provide the opportunity to demonstrate HP’s graphic arts software solutions with partners including Onyx.
