Richard Bailey, vice president, IPG, HP South Pacific, says, “The changes to the organisation will help it align to a true printing system view under which the Laserjet Enterprise Services and inkjet web solutions categories will have full responsibility for both supplies and hardware. This will give the organisation a clear line of sight in driving world-class printing solutions for consumers through to large enterprise customers.”
The restructure will split the After Market sales group, previously in charge of HP’s supplies business, between the Inkjet Web Solutions and Laserjet Enterprise Services businesses, with all former After market Sales employees repositioned in either the Laserjet Enterprise Services or Sales Operations and Distribution teams.
HP has appointed Mal Wun to lead the new Sales Operations and Distribution division. As part of the restructure, Wun’s role will expand to include distribution responsibilities, to ensure that each partner has a strategic plan in place at the system level, as well as to ensure delivery of operational support across IPG Australia and New Zealand. Wun joined HP in 1998 as a financial analyst, and was appointed finance manager of IPG in 2002 before becoming sales operation manager in 2004. He created the operations support for Managed Enterprise Services, another IPG sales division, when it formed in 2004.
The company has also appointed Rob McCance to business manager for Laserjet Enterprise Services for HP IPG in Australia and New Zealand. McCance will oversee the complete Laserjet Enterprise Services category, which includes all Laserjet hardware and supplies, supported by Jason Su, who will take responsibility for category product management and Emma Pizzey for the sales force.
Bailey concludes, “The level of leadership and expertise that has resulted in these appointments reinforces the strength of the HP in the South Pacific market and the success of IPG in developing world-class printing solutions for our customers.”
