HP hits 100 installs of R530 printer, launches PrintOS Software Suite

HP has announced two major advancements in its large format print strategy – the 100th installation of its HP Latex R530 printer and the debut of HP PrintOS Software Suite.

Tailored for small and mid-sized print service providers (PSPs), the new software solution offers access to premium HP PrintOS Production Hub applications and HP Learn Premium content, with the objective to simplify production processes and unlock digital workflows.

FASTSIGNS installs 100th HP Latex R530

FASTSIGNS, an American sign shop chain, has installed the HP Latex R530 into its production line, marking the 100th installation of the printer globally since its launch in March.

Designed to eliminate key barriers in rigid printing for small and mid-sized print service providers, the HP Latex R530 is the industry’s only all-in-one compact HP Latex printer, offering a cost-effective and space-efficient entry point into both rigid and flexible media printing[i].

With features such as seamless switching between substrates, vibrant color output and smooth gradients with HP Pixel Control technology, and built-in automation for recirculation and printhead cleaning, the R530 ensures consistent quality and minimal downtime. Its single-phase power system further enhances accessibility, making it a practical solution for space-constrained operations.

“By installing the HP Latex R530, we anticipate significant enhancements in both our production efficiency and pricing strategy,” said Steve Brennock, owner of FASTSIGNS-Tigard.

“It helps us meet tight deadlines with confidence. Being able to print directly onto sign surfaces has significantly improved our turnaround times, and we are now able to offer more competitive pricing while maintaining high standards.”

Daniel Martinez, SVP and division president, HP Large Format Printing said the HP Latex R530 reflects HP’s focus on removing real-world barriers for print providers.

“Installing the 100th HP Latex R530 is a proud moment for our team and a testament to the value the HP Latex technology delivers for our customers. By combining versatility, quality, and ease of use in one compact device, we are helping PSPs unlock new applications and operate more efficiently – without compromising on sustainability.”

The HP Latex R530 enables efficient execution of complex applications, such as double-sided and second-surface printing, allowing FASTSIGNS to meet diverse customer demands while maintaining consistent output quality.

“We are thrilled about the opportunity to carry out double-sided and second-surface applications with much greater efficiency in particular,” Brennock said.

“This functionality will allow us to meet diverse client demands more promptly and effectively while maintaining the high-quality standards we strive for.”

Its user-friendly interface and turnkey setup allowed FASTSIGNS to quickly integrate the printer into its existing workflows, minimising onboarding time and boosting overall productivity. Designed to work seamlessly with the HP PrintOS Production Hub, the HP Latex R530 also offers centralised, real-time job and production management, providing PSPs enhanced visibility, control, and scalability as they grow.

HP launches new HP PrintOS Software Suite

HP is introducing the HP PrintOS Software Suite, a standalone, software-only offering that provides affordable access to all premium HP PrintOS Production Hub applications and HP Learn premium content to streamline PSPs’ workflow from order to delivery.

Developed to support PSPs looking to digitise their operations without requiring new hardware investments, and engineered to simplify and streamline operations, the HP PrintOS Software Suite brings together order management, workflow automation, remote production control, and advanced training in one single intuitive platform.

The single platform includes a carefully selected set of applications tailored to real-world PSP needs, including order management, live production, HP Learn premium content, and design & e-commerce[ii].

Optimised for HP Latex and HP Stitch, it also offers printer-agnostic tools to streamline workflows and support PSPs with their sustainability journey through the new HP Sustainability Amplifier program[iii].

This offering addresses key challenges like fragmented processes, manual tracking, and limited production visibility, helping PSPs digitise operations, improve efficiency, and reduce errors.

HP PrintOS Software Suite is already available as a 1-year Care Pack, with a 90-day free[iv] trial and promotional offers throughout FY25 H2.
