A feature of the HP Scitex XL1500 printer, the multi-layer screening algorithm addresses problems common to inkjet printing including banding, and graininess of printed images. These are essentially mechanical phenomena that HP Scitex has found a way to reduce using its proprietary software.
“The use of this algorithm by our customers will allow them to achieve a much higher printing quality, thus granting them a competitive edge and better opportunity to win more jobs,” says Dov Ofer, vice president & general manager, HP Scitex.
“There is no doubt that using the multi-layer our skin tone printing results are reaching an even higher level of quality. Digital print providers are in a highly competitive market, and features like multi-layer’screening can make an important difference.”
The HP Scitex XL1500 offers high quality wide format print in 2m, 3m and 5m widths. With speeds up to 124m/hr at resolutions up to 370 x 740dpi and the ability to print in 4, 6 and 8 colours, the HP Scitex XL1500 offers speed, quality and versatility.
