Industry demand forces venue upgrades for the DES ISO seminars

Russell Cavenagh, sales director at DES says organisers thought a venue for approximately 70 people in each city would be sufficient but the interest has been so strong numbers are now nearing 250.

He says, “We billed this as a must attend industry event and they certainly seem to be agreeing with us. The good news is that the bigger venues now mean we have a few more seats available in both Melbourne and Sydney.”

Cavenagh continues, “If you’d like to attend there are still a few places available for both the Melbourne and Sydney seminars thanks to the bigger venues but the house full sign will probably be going up in a few days.”

DES has also announced that James Hawkes, Chairman of the Australian 3DAP committee and colour manager of ACP Magazines has agreed to be at both the Melbourne and Sydney seminars to answer audience questions regarding the April 2 introduction of the new 3DAP V3 standard.

  • The seminar will cover a range of topics including:
  • What is required to achieve compliance?
  • How can you achieve it?
  • Tools for compliance
  • Options and strategies
  • The new 3DAPv3 based on ISO 12647
  • FOGRA PSO
  • Proofing to ISO with FOGRA certified substrates

The Melbourne seminar will be held on February 17 from 3-6pm at the IBIS Hotel, while the Sydney seminar will be held on February 18 from 3-6pm at the Stamford Grand North Ryde.
