Luke, 77, was an active member of the National Print Awards Committee, its treasurer and unofficial custodian of its exhibitions for several years.
Luke was farewelled at the Saint Andrews Uniting Church in Box Hill, which was well represented by the printing industry, according to Printing Industries. He was buried at Springvale Botanical Cemetery and is survived by his wife Joan and four children.
Philip Andersen, Printing Industries CEO, describes Luke as a “rare character” who had committed much of his life to working on behalf of the printing industry.
Andersen says, “Graham made the transition from being a member of our Victorian Regional Council to become a staff member of the Association and our Victorian manager. He was never short of an opinion and always represented the industry with passion and commitment.”
“In his final years he continued to show this commitment through his ongoing work with the National Print Awards when many a lesser person would not have had the stamina. Many, many people will miss him.” Andersen concludes.
