IPMG farewells accountant-turned-print boss Tony Dedda

Hannanprint managing director Tony Dedda has been sent off in style after spending 20 years at parent company IPMG.

A farewell party was held on Dedda's last day, 27 September. The barbecue ran across shifts so people from the morning and afternoon shifts could attend.

About 80 staff were on hand to say goodbye to their long-time boss.

Dedda's replacement, Adrian O'Connor, gave a speech in which he paid tribute to the service Dedda had made to the group.

Dedda had another farewell that night at a management dinner attended by IPMG executive chairman Michael Hannan and other senior executives such as Kevin Slaven, Stephen Anstice and Craig Dunsford.

Hannan told ProPrint: "Tony Dedda joined IPMG in 1993 as chief accountant and in that role proved to have been an excellent choice.

"As Tony developed into that role – which included not only responsibility for print but our publishing interests as well – he was never short of suggestions on how to do even better than we were doing in printing, so it was in 1998 he was given the role to head up Hannanprint.

"Tony succeeded on all fronts and made the significant leap from accountant to printer with relative ease. He endeared himself to staff and customers.

"The last four years has seen Tony head the team to develop the plan and implement the monumental transition and relocation from Alexandria to Warwick Farm.

"That move complete, we can all say job well done, thank you Tony for 20 years of dedicated service to IPMG and the industry."
