Jet attacks narrow web digital with Screen

The new Jet L350UV will join the burgeoning list of digital label and packaging printers entering the market, however Jack Malki, managing director of Jet Technologies says, “Screen has an unrivalled technology pedigree that it has built up over a long period of time. This means that the press itself is certain to do the job with consistency, quality, and reliability, and it also means that label and packaging printers investing with Screen as a technology partner are assured of their long term commitment.”

The TruePress L350UV has a 350mm (13.7”) web width. It produces full colour print at 50 metres a minute. A white option will be launched in January next year, which will be retrofittable. Resolution is 600dpi with three picolitre droplets.

Jet will market the TruePress while Screen will service. Jet and Screen already have a partnership with Jet supplying Screen Flexo CTP to the market.

At PacPrint Jet will also present a range of innovative technologies for rotary screen printing and updated lamination equipment. These will include the RotaLEX 6630F laser CTP device from Stork Prints. According to Jet its principal Stork has developed a leap forward in speed and quality in a simplified one-step digital workflow, by eliminating the need for conventional film, ablative film and ablative plate processing and offering single-step direct imaging and rastering on the fly.

Also to be featured on the Jet Technologies Stand will be an updated version of a sheetfed film laminator from leading Italian manufacturer, EcoSystem.

Malki says, “What was once a niche finish has grown to become an industry standard for customers who want to get the most out of their print. That means relying on high grade celloglazing equipment such as the EcoSystem offerings which represent outstanding levels of innovative design and precise engineering.”
