Agfa’s Jeti Titan HS wide format inkjet printing system is the winner of Product of the Year at the 2014 SGIA Expo in Las Vegas. The competition compared 139 entries from 68 companies in 25 different categories. The six-colour plus white (CMYKLcLmWW) Jeti Titan HS flatbed UV printing system has a flat to roll option and comes equipped with two rows of the latest generation 1280-nozzle Ricoh Gen 5 print heads.

Deborah Hutcheson, director of marketing with Agfa in the US, says, “The competition was particularly fierce and this award is testament to the hard work of many people at Agfa Graphics all over the world to bring the Jeti Titan HS to market. “We know the Jeti Titan HS is an efficient, reliable and cost-effective flatbed UV printing system, and it is a thrill to be recognized with this award from SGIA 2014.” White printing on the device supports different modes including overprint, under-print, spot, under-spot, fill, and over-spot for rigids, and pre-white for roll media. The S version of the Jeti Titan has a single row of print heads, but is field upgradeable to add the second row. Agfa says the Jeti Titan HS combines exceptional print quality and high productivity, making it ideal for high value work like POP/POS viewed at close range or for the high-level art, fashion and cosmetics markets. It also features a new digital primer to extend the durability of prints created for outdoor signage and displays.
