Leading Australian economist Dr Chris Caton and Printing Industries’ industry and commercial policy manager, Hagop Tchamkertenian with both speak at the event.
Caton, the chief economist for BT Financial Group, will provide a review on last year’s economy and comments on what we may expect in the year ahead.
His credentials include chief at Bankers Trust from 1991 to 1999, and chairman of the Indicative Council, which advised the government on matters relating to the housing industry from 1994 to 1997.
He has also previously worked in the Treasury, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and for an economic consulting firm in the US.
He will be joined by Tchamkertenian, who has been with Printing Industries since 1993.
His responsibilities with Printing Industries include: lobbying activities, the preparation of economic and statistical reports, preparing submissions to government agencies on industry and also other related issues and benchmarking.
He will give an economic industry overview and a forecast for the year ahead.
The JPE Industry Review Night will be held at the Pacific International Suite in Parramatta, March 15, from 6pm. Cost is $75 for members and $85 for non members.
