The move sees the Dresden-based manufacturer’s finishing cutters and folder-gluers distributed throughout the region. Marcus Tralau, managing director at KAMA says, “After successfully entering the Japanese market last year, we are using this new cooperation to expand our involvement in the Asia-Pacific region.”
The company claims that in its assessment, the Asia-Pacific region has been less severely affected by the global crisis than Europe and America.
Tralau continues, “Many printers in the Australasian region see the expansion of their post-press and finishing activities as a chance to use high-end services to increase in-house added value, enhance their profile and stabilise their market position.”
Also commenting, Andy Jensen, HAN managing director says, “The KAMA machines and their wide range of applications for A2 and A3 print finishing fit perfectly into our sales portfolio.”
KAMA outlines this is a favourable moment for the entry of its products into the Australasian and Pacific Islands market. The company continues that in addition to the gathering pace of the economic recovery, the last few months have seen exports to the region stimulated by the strength of the Australian dollar.
