Kodak gives worldwide debut to S20 Imprinting System

The printhead system available now in Australia offers a width of 106mm and can print at speeds of up to 600 metres per minute at a resolution of 600x300dpi.

Vince Ferraro, vice president of marketing of Kodak’s digital print solutions business, said the new S20 Imprinting system would allow customers to offer variable data to inline production.

Speaking to PrintWeek at the show, Ferraro said the S20 system formed part of the company’s focus for 2011, in which the manufacturer plans to “develop the solution further”.

The monochrome model, which also offers spot-colour functionality, is available as a new system or as an upgrade to the company’s S10 imprinting configuration.

Much like the S10, Kodak is pitching the technology at customers in the direct mail sector but expands its reach into newspaper, magazine and catalogue applications.
