Kugler-Womako to show high precision label sheeter

In order to punch labels for bottles, for example, it is first of all necessary to cut strips from the printed paper roll. This process requires a great deal of precision. With the LabelCut 102, Kugler-Womako provides a solution, which cuts these strips from the roll individually with tight tolerances and with just a few handling steps.

The cut tolerances are +/- 0.1mm for the longitudinal cutter and +/-0.15mm for the transverse cutter. The cut length and the side trim are controlled electronically by reading printed marks. The machine is equipped with a spoilage detection system so that faulty strips are rejected from the stack. This guarantees a consistency high quality strip.

Kugler-Womako says the LabelCut 102 is characterised by its flexibility. It can be adjusted for new formats in just a few minutes thanks to the use of modern electronics. The production speed reaches 200 metres per minuter or 2000 cuts per minute. By this, different cuts can be dealt with quickly and smoothly.

As an option, the LabelCut 102 can be fitted with an embossing calendar, an in-line connection to the de-stacker, to die cutters or to an in-line guillotine for square labels.

The machine will be demonstrated to visitors under production conditions on the Körber PaperLink stand at drupa (Hall 11, A62). The whole in-line process will be shown from the printed paper roll to the finished shaped labels in maxi packs.
