Designed to be an informative promotion it includes technical information and assorted print techniques which have been applied to images of rare guitars, collected over a quarter century.
A different print technique has been applied to the folder and each of the six cards which feature colourful images from Sappi’s ‘Dave’s Guitar Shop’ book.
The promotion doubles as a reference tool, with tips like ink limits, grain direction, colour, conventional/stochastic screening methods and printing with black listed on the back.
Print techniques and colours such as spot matt etch, pink fluoro 806 C, Pantone 2935C, gloss varnish, satin sealer, gloss aqueous coating, Rubine Red C bump plate and silver underlays have also been used. Some cards are perforated, offering flexibility when presenting ideas to clients.
Peter Tielemans, European technical marketing manager, Sappi says, “I think it looks great with all the different print techniques. The Pantone blue card shows you how, even with heavy solids that can often be quite challenging, there is mottling. At Sappi, we have the benefit of being close to our customers and have a strong relationship with KW Doggett, which we value highly.
Tielemans says, “We see it used for many applications, especially in the luxury segments like the automotive and fashion industries, that are willing to pay for quality.”
