The separate unit that allows printing and coating to be performed in a single pass was previously used only for the Printmaster GGTO 52.
Small printshops in particular can use these to add value, to printed matter, protecting the printed surface or, in the case of UV coating, producing a particularly high gloss. Small businesses will also stand out from the competition and be able to offer their customers a wider service.
This service will also be made faster, as inline coating means shorter set up and cleaning times as well as an overall quicker finishing process, resulting in shorter delivery times for end customers.
The Laco coating device is suitable for the Printmaster PM 52 and Speedmaster SM 52 with standard pile delivery and the drive of the numbering device.
The availability of UV, dispersion, and blister coatings allows for special applications such as full area, spot and effect coating.
Existing machines on the market equipped with this device can be retrofitted without any difficulty. The coating device itself consists of a coating unit, coating blanket cylinder, and service trolley for inserting and retracting the coating unit into and from the press. An IR dryer also needs to be integrated into the delivery.
