Lanier celebrates “record month”, opens new HQ

Lanier has opened its new Sydney headquarters soon after celebrating a record sales month.

Local Federal member and former tennis star John Alexander cut the ribbon on Lanier's Technology and Innovation Centre on 1 November.

Alexander described the North Ryde location as Australia's innovation capital. It is also home to Canon, Epson, Fuji Xerox, Konica Minolta and Snap.

Meanwhile, Lanier's national sales manager for production print solutions, Raj Chandiok, said the company's commercial printing division enjoyed its best month in September.

Chandiok told ProPrint that Lanier had built up a lot of brand recognition at PacPrint in May and also generated an impressive number of leads.

He also said the result of the 7 September Federal election had given a confidence boost to prospective customers – starting from the first Monday after the poll.

"There seemed to be a lot more confidence in the marketplace and they sat down and said, 'yes, we're happy to make a decision now'."

The September sales drive included Pro C5100 light-production presses, Pro C751 medium-production presses and Pro C901 high-production presses to customers in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, said Chandiok.

"October was also a really good month, so the momentum of September hasn't stopped, and even [yesterday] we signed a contract," he told ProPrint.
