Rohan Holt, president of LithoTechnics says, “Europe is a relatively large market space and we have resellers throughout the region but it’s time for us to gain local presence. Geography really does matter in terms of relationships.

“A lot of the printers over there are doing it tough and we have a product, which is proven to really help but to hear about it they have to know about it so this move is talking us to the next level.”

Industry veteran Philip Glorian will head up the new office. Most recently Philip was with Ricoh, where he concentrated on systems and workflow for the high-volume print market.

The company continues that like many of the other staffers at LithoTechnics, Glorian worked for several years in print production, where he learned first-hand the demand and urgency of getting the job “out the door” as well as an appreciation for efficient and reliable systems backed by prompt and effective customer service.

Commenting on his new role, Glorian says, “I am very excited about joining the team at LithoTechnics and working on Metrix, which really solves the job planning puzzle that UpFront set out to do but fell short.”

He continues, “The enthusiasm of Metrix users is contagious and really without parallel, which speaks volumes about the software and also the company.”

At LithoTechnics Europe, Philip will focus on business development, sales and marketing, pre-sales support for partners, and technical support.

Metrix, LithoTechnics’ flagship product, received the prestigious 2005 PIA/GATF InterTech Technology Award, recognised industry-wide as a symbol of technological innovation and excellence. LithoTechnics, which is a full member of the CIP4 Organization, has offices in Phoenix, Arizona, Turnhout, Belgium, and Wollongong.
