The Australian company wowed the US print industry last year by picking up nine Bennys at the 2013 Printing Industries of America Awards. The firm’s Casino Collection, a series of 1.5m by 1m tactile wall hangings, is on display at Trivett Bespoke in Alexandria and will be available for rent at $200 per week this year. Aimed at commercial spaces such as casinos and hotels, the tactile prints are created using a modified Roland DG packaging machine. Some works feature precious metals and stones, others use a raised touchable finish for textured hair, costumes and sand. Creative director and photographer Bob Armstrong says rental customers will be able to display a new print every month, thereby featuring 12 different masterpieces a year. Trivett Bespoke has picked up the programme, with the photographs currently rotating through its VIP room. In attendance were two Body of Work models, including “professional mermaid” Hannah Fraser – the face of many of the firm’s award-winning prints.
