Mikoh launches new four colour label printer

Hans van Pelt, general manager of Mikoh says the SRG-1001 has already shown its versatility handling variable data, serial numbers, bar codes and full label production.

He says, “The customer appeal of this new exciting entry into the Australian four-colour label market, is that we are totally local with back-up and service as close as a phone call away.

We are also in the convenient position of having our own chemists, so we have the capacity to manufacture our own inks, or special customer inks on request.”

According to Mikoh, the SRG-1001’s print run widths vary between 70-350mm, but can be increased up to 560mm if need be. The SRG-1001 can also be delivered in unwinds, print rewind, to sheet or fan feed.

The company continues that it also allows a range of options when needed, from Corona treating; die cutting; laminating; or varnishing; be it via a flexo or inkjet unit. The machine is totally servo driven and drying can be achieved by using UV, IR or LED facilities.

Hans van Pelt also says that one of the attractions of the new system was its ink calculator for the costing of every job.

He says, “It calculates the amount of ink that will be used to print the file downloaded. The amount to be printed is entered, plus the cost of the ink per litre and the system will then give you a total cost of each job printed.”

The Mikoh SRG-1001 will be marketed by Visy Technology Systems.
