Minister Carr in the spotlight at next month’s CEO forum

Carr will give a keynote address titled Printing in the Knowledge Economy a little over 12 months since his landmark address to the industry following the Labor Government’s election to office.

Following previous discussions with Printing Industries, Carr formed the Printing Industry Working Group acknowledging the industry’s significance and contribution to the Australian economy and providing a direct industry link to the government.

Philip Andersen, CEO of Printing Industries, says he welcomes Carr’s openness and willingness to work with the printing industry. He says, “We are very pleased that Senator Carr has agreed to address our August Forum and look forward to continuing our dialogue with him and the Federal Government on several industry issues. Many of our members have already expressed a desire to attend this forum and I encourage them to do so armed with questions.”

He continues, “The Minister’s willingness to work with Printing Industries and to again put himself in the spotlight is indicative, I believe, of a genuine desire to work with our industry. This is an opportunity to meet and listen to the Minister which all our members should take advantage of.”
