Product additions to the pressure-sensitive section of the product guide include, hot melt/PET, layflat sticker and pre-topcoated digital papers certified for Hewlett Packard HP Indigo industrial roll fed presses.
Film offerings now include a 2.6 mm white polypropylene with high opacity, and a 2.0 mm metallised polypropylene for mirror-like reflectivity and high shelf appeal. Newly introduced machine-direction oriented (MDO) 3.0 Mil films are also part of the company’s new offerings and MagneCote, a new magnetic paper, combines an industry-recognised Sterling Ultra paper with a proprietary magnetic coating to create a product that prints like paper, yet adheres like a magnet.
The company’s new product offerings were announced at Labelexpo Americas 2006 and according to marketing communications manager at Avery Dennison, Pat Bowser, reflect an evolving digital printing market.
“Digital printing has evolved beyond short runs and personlisation. Avery Denisson has expanded its range to accommodate these changes,” she says.
“High –end graphic capabilities, flexibility and low set-up costs have elevated digital printing to a potential workflow solution and a means of helping brand owners to expand and achieve more customised marketing strategies.”
Avery Dennison is a global leader in pressure-sensitive technology and innovative self-adhesive solutions for the consumer products and label materials. The company’s Fasson-brand pressure-sensitive and non-adhesive coated papers, films and foils in roll form are widely used in brand identity, bar-code labelling systems, product identification and other applications by label converters and consumer products package designers and manufacturers.
