DocuFold, originally introduced to the market in 1994, was the first small format-folding device to offer an automated set-up solution.
Commenting on the latest enhancements, Andy Cooper, general manager of Morgana Australia says, “DocuFold Pro provides for higher volume folding, in larger sizes, at higher speeds, with an even easier and faster set-up.
“We have added the new SmartScreen technology to the DocuFold Pro in order to improve operational efficiency and make the machine easier to learn and use.”
In adopting the company’s SmartScreen technology – a common touchscreen solution used throughout the Pro range – the DocuFold Pro is easier to set-up and operate, according to Morgana.
All job parameters can be entered and stored for future use, with common sizes and fold patterns pre-installed in system memory. New features include a Proof Fold Button that sends three sheets of the job through for a final check of the job before production.
Sheets sizes of up to 674 x 365mm can be accommodated, with a maximum fold length of 300mm. Production speed is variable, with a maximum throughput of 27,500 A4 sheets per hour, or 18,000 A3 sheets.
Morgana adds that the DocuFold Pro also offers an on-the-run micro adjustment for any fine-tuning of the fold, and a perforating option is included as standard. Batch count and total job count are available and highly visible to the user.
