Myer takes out 2009 catalogue of the year

It was Myer’s second consecutive year of taking out the top award in addition to winning for its chain store and high volume fashion catalogues under Special Event or Theme, Adult Apparel and General Apparel categories.

Also replicating its win from 2008 was Kathmandu, taking out the Catalogue of the Year for a print run of up to 1.5 million catalogues as well as winning the 2009 Boutique Cataloguer category.

Ken Bishop, chief executive of the Australian Catalogue Association says this year’s winners demonstrated the remarkable design and effectiveness of this form of marketing.

He says, “The high standard of winners is a perfect example of why our industry is increasingly billed as the most effective form of message delivery for retailers, in reaching their end-user consumers.”

The major award recipients recognised at the Australian Catalogue Association’s gala presentation were:

  • Kathmandu – Kathmandu Winter 2008 Hokkaido Japan (up to 1.5 million catalogues
  • Myer – My Style Hottest Looks (over 1.5 million catalogues)
  • Keune Academy 2009 – Keune Academy 2009 (The People’s Choice)
