Panpa says the venue is bristling with facilities that will satisfy even the most battle-hardened delegate or exhibitor, the Centre was named World’s Best Congress Centre 2004 by the International Association of Congress Centres.
Panpa President, Ken Steinke, described the facilities as outstanding and expressed his gratitude to the Conference Centre, Advance Cairns and Tourism Tropical North Queensland “for their strong support and sponsorship” of the Conference.
“I feel very confident that delegates who attend our conference sessions and exhibitors at Panexpo will appreciate the very high standard of the facilities at the Cairns Convention Centre,” he added.
Geographically, Cairns is the most central location possible for all Panpa members from Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Guam and a much closer site for speakers from the USA, the UK and Europe.
The Centre is within walking distance of a wide selection of hotels and apartments – in fact delegates will have a choice of more than 4000 rooms in the city.
There is a Great Hall, seven different meeting rooms and in excess of 1400 square metres of floor space for Panexpo, the associated exhibition, almost 50 per cent more than last year, so there will plenty of room to accommodate our exciting new program line-up.
Panpa says its decision to stage the very popular annual event in Cairns recognises the demands of Newspaper and Associate Members for Panpa to provide the best facilities available in the market and of the need to constantly revise and improve the conference.
The City of Cairns boasts a beautiful coast alongside the Great Barrier Reef and is within reach of some of the world’s best rainforest areas. Top-class restaurants abound and the weather allows for some spectacular al fresco wining and dining.
The Newspaper of the Year, Newspaper Marketing Awards, Newspaper Awards for technical Excellence, Hegarty Prize and Marketer of the Year winners will also be announced at the conference.
Speaker line up promises high level event
