Next wins Asia Pacific POS award

The competition, produced by HP Sign and Display (Asia Pacific and Japan), recognised 12 winners across Asia Pacific and Japan for their outstanding print achievements and innovations in the signage industry.

Tom Tjanaria, managing director, Next Printing says “All of us at Next Printing are delighted and proud to be a winner at the 2012 Digital Print Awards. We are enjoying the benefits of our investment in HP technologies as are our customers.”

Martin Carballo, director, HP Scitex-graphics solutions business, printers and personal systems group, Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific says “The HP Digital Print Awards for the Sign & Display industry salutes PSPs who are pushing the boundaries of print through innovation. We are excited to see some really outstanding submissions this year. We hope the award winners can find new revenue opportunities ahead with HP through their printing portfolio.

“This year’s winners have once again demonstrated how they can add greater value during the pre and post-press treatment process by introducing new elements such as engraving to create additional value for end users.”

In its third year the competition attracted 82 entries from 13 countries across six categories, Environmental Responsibility, Exhibitions and Events, Innovative Application/Unique Media, Outdoor Advertising, Vehicle Graphics and the Retail Point of Purchase/Point of Sale.

The competition highlights the importance of creativity for Print Service Providers (PSPs) in the signage industry. The HP Digital Print Awards for the Sign and Display industry recognises PSPs who have leveraged HP’s digital printing solutions to meet the increasing demands of their customers for innovation.

The award assessment criteria included innovation and creativity, marketing appeal, the best use of ink and colour, creative print application installation and overall aesthetics.
