NSW gears up for record awards event

Chairman of Judges Warwick Roden said he was amazed and excited at the
strong support. He says, "We have received more than a 100 per cent
increase in both the number of companies entering and actual entries.

"This has given the judges a real challenge – particularly since the
standard this year is so much higher than last year – and that was a good year."

Special guest of honour at the awards dinner on Friday October 19 will
be the NSW Minister for Small Business and Minister for Regulatory Reform, The
Hon Joe Tripodi, MP.

Tripodi is an advocate for removing bureaucratic red tape and has said
that he is willing to discuss any issues directly with members (during breaks)
where they feel the State government can help their businesses.

Printing Industries NSW general manager, Robert Fuller, said this year's event would
feature several changes following constructive feedback from 2006.
