The Sydney-based Offset Alpine took out the Heidelberg Award for Excellence in Craft, judged from all gold medal winners by a panel appointed by Heidelberg.
It also took home the PaperlinX Award for Outstanding Excellence as nominated by the NPA judging panel, for its self-promotional piece.
Throughout the night, held at Darling Harbour’s glamorous Parkside Ballroom, 30 Gold, 36 Silver and 29 Bronze medals were awarded to printers from every State and Territory, across categories spanning offset, flexo, web and digital print, packaging and labels, binding and finishing.
NPA Chairman, John Wanless says, “This year’s awards prove we just keep on getting better at producing high quality print. But with increasing competition from other media, awards such as the NPA are important to demonstrate the continued effectiveness and sustainability of print as a medium.”
Offset Alpine’s “Capabilities” book, was one of the most impressive pieces of print on the night, taking out both the embellishment and self-promotion categories. The job was designed by Cumming Agency & Studios and printed on Hannoart, White Knight, Curious Metallic, Clear PC and Box Board.
The job was embellished and finished by Avon Graphics, Offset Alpine, Allkotes, Graphic Trade Services and Trusty Cases and Boxes.
Other companies taking out multiple gold medals on the night, included Adams Print, Cutler Brands, Scott Print and Southern Colour NSW.
