On Demand picks up DPA

Bruce Peddlesden, owner of On Demand told Australian Printer the DPA business was a strategic fit for his company particularly in terms of investment in new service and technology such as inkjet, variable data and cross media marketing.

He says, “Our track record is always to build. The acquisition will benefit our customers with an increase in volumes and newer equipment and it will benefit DPA’s customers with a wider range of products and services.”

While DPA directors Claude Lucchesi and Kirk Peterson will exit the business, the 35 strong workforce will all make the move to On Demand, bringing the digital printer’s staff numbers to 110. DPA’s operations will be incorporated into On Demand’s newly expanded facility in Port Melbourne.

Commenting on the future of On Demand, Peddlesden says the industry can expect more of the same. He says, “We will keep growing our business through acquisitions in a strong and strategic fashion. I can’t see any reason not to keep increasing our capabilities.”
