Outlook, environment and leadership major topics at PacPrint forums

The free series will provide PacPrint visitors with an opportunity to debate and discuss key issues and challenges facing the industry today, with keynote addresses from experts supported and industry specialists who will help focus the session’s relevance on the industry. The topics will be:

  • Wednesday 27 May: Visions for the Future – a look at the economic and business climate, future directions and opportunities
  • Thursday 28 May: The Environment – future strategies in response to climate change and the environment
  • Friday 29 May: Future Leadership – the making and motivating of leaders for the future

Alastair Hadley, chairman of PacPrint 09 says the topics are pertinent in today’s challenging market place and have been identified through recent Printing Industries’ market research as areas of key importance to virtually all facets of the industry.

He says, “Information received from hundreds of businesses across Australia clearly identified these as the big issues confronting businesses across the entire spectrum of the graphic arts here in Australia.”

Hadley continues, “The sessions will follow a similar format to the highly successful series at PrintEx. Each will feature a keynote address by an internationally recognised expert in the field, supported by industry experts as forum panelists who will be able to discuss the specific relevance of the area and issues raised to the graphic arts.”

Confirmation of the speakers for the forum series, which is to be moderated by respected broadcaster, journalist, lawyer and businesswoman Elaine Canty, is expected within days, while forum panelists for each session are currently being identified.
