PacPrint announces Forum series speakers

The series will feature former Australian hockey coach Dr Ric Charlesworth, futurist and business specialist Anders Sorman Nilsson, and a panel of industry experts including Joan Grace, general manager – Employment, Education and Training for Printing Industries and Debbie Burgess, director of Bright Print.

Nilsson is a Swedish-Australian, former lawyer and founder and creative director of the research and strategy company, Thinque. He will address the first forum on May 22, setting the scene for the forum series with a focus on ‘Global Change and the Implications for Business’.

In his presentation, Nilsson will draw on a wide-ranging experience as a digital and innovation strategist and a firm believer in the need to blend the benefits of digital and analogue to get the best of high tech and high touch.

On May 23, a panel of industry experts will gather for an open discussion on ‘Perspectives on Print: The Challenges Ahead.’ Forum moderator Steve Crowe will encourage panelists to draw from their experience to offer ideas, insights and strategies for businesses facing challenging time, and to justify their decisions to stick with print as a medium of the future.

At the final Forum session on May 24, Charlesworth, who has held roles as doctor, member of parliament, Olympic athlete and coach (hockey), author, public speaker and mentor, will bring his experience on the subject of ‘Leadership and Managing Successful Transitions’, discussing the personal, team and wider business implications of transitioning to achieve success and what happens when plans go astray.

Organiosers say that Charlesworth will bring his perspective to not only help define what successful transition looks like, but to deal with issues such as the personal challenges prompted by major changes in life and career; how to minimise risk and maximise opportunity; how to help others in the team make successful transitions; how to minimise the disruption caused by change; and, how to embrace change before it’s too late.
