Paper merchant foresees positive market outcomes

The company currently operates out of three warehouses, which it claims is a logistical nightmare for both staff and customer base that require fast turnaround on orders. The benefits of the move are location, direct access to all major freeway’s, stock consolidation that will result in quicker turnaround of customer orders, according to Vilensky Paper.

The company says it has invested heavily on the site which includes high bay racking, new material handling equipment, and container dock unloading and stock picking software. The total area of the facility is well above current requirements and will allow for the potential growth over the next three to five years.

Vilensky Paper has it continues to see growth in its market sector claiming the consolidation of larger merchants has assisted its growth as the majority of printing companies are family owned and looking to support independent merchants.

The merchant also sees positive moves in the supply chain announcing it will increase its range from Feb this year, which will include a Recycled Coated Art Paper and Board.

The company concludes it will be well positioned in 2010 when Carbon Trading will start to impact on the graphic arts industry, whoever it believes this will be the greatest challenge, in relation to growth of our business and our customers.
