Scott steps up from national sales manager to the top job following a twelve-year career with the company both in Australia and the USA. Prior to joining Screen, Scott was with prepress Rip and imagesetter pioneer Hyphen and also spent time with Heidelberg when distribution was through Seligson & Clare.
Commenting on his appointment, Scott says, “It is an enormous honour to be entrusted with leading Screen’s business in Australia and New Zealand, and I am grateful for the experience handed down from our departing Managing Director Akira Hayakawa.
“The team we have is very stable, so we know each other well and I look forward to, and am confident in, continued success for Screen in my new role.”
Hayakawa will continue his association with the ANZ market by remaining as a director of the local subsidiary and making occasional visits. However, his new role in Kyoto will include Screen Europe and it is anticipated that Screen Australia will eventually become more autonomous.
