Philip Andersen CEO of Printing Industries says the South Australian, Victorian, Queensland and Federal governments have all moved into new systems of procurement.
He says, “It’s only a matter of time before NSW goes down the same path, so we should be ready with a viable model that meets industry expectations as well as government procurement needs.
“Late last year we were able to conclude successful negotiations with the Federal Government on a procurement model for Centrelink and the Department of Finance.”
Andersen continues, “This provided a good outcome for the industry and the government also accepted our position that contracts should not be exclusively based on price, but should also be based on service and quality.”
