The country’s biggest printer is currently auctioning kits from its closed Chullora print site, with Grays Online hosting the auction. Bidding ends on Wednesday (Sept 11th) afternoon, with several hundred items available to bid on the vast majority with a no reserve $9 starting price. There are no presses on offer but plenty of other kit, including a Polar Mohr guillotine with a $10,000 start price, and Creo Scitex Trendsetter CTP, which has a $9 start price.
PMP closed Chullora on June 30, with around 120 people made redundant. The site been used for printing for the last twenty-three years and was acquired by PMP in 2004, and was used primarily to print directories, but with the advent of internet search production declined dramatically. PMP has transferred its remaining directory business to its Moorebank site.
