The VersaUV prints CMYK plus white and clear on a wide range of substrates including foils, metallic and synthetic papers, BOPP, PE and PET film for unmatched colour, texture and dimension, according to Roland DG.
John Wall, sales and marketing director at Roland DG says the new printer/cutter allows print providers to eliminate outsourcing for short production runs. Adding that after printing, the VersaUV will digitally die-cutting finished print to virtually any shape quickly and easily.
Wall says, “The VersaUV is ideal for anyone doing proofing, prototyping, or short run labels for packaging. The machine, which has a fast payback, will print on to almost any substrate as well as being able to print 3D.”
He continues, “We are already expecting five to six sales in the next two to four weeks. So if you’re working with clear give us a call because no one else had a machine like this.”
