
The governor of California is looking to cut millions of dollars in annual state spending on education, and believes online technology is the best way to achieve that.
The former actor, famous for his roles in the Terminator and Predator films, said that from August this year, maths and science students will be able to access online learning resources.
“The textbooks are outdated as far as I’m concerned,” said Schwarzenegger.
The State of California spent US$350 million (A$437m) on textbooks in 2008, something the governor says he can no longer afford with the state’s budget cap standing at US$24.3 billion (A$30.3bn).
