Bucking the trend of empty seats at industry seminars DES twice had to upgrade its venue in both locations, and ended with some 270 printers turning out at the Ibis in Glen Waverly and the Stamford Grand in Ryde.
Presenting at the seminars were DES managing director Ian Clare, and DES colour management specialist Dave Crowther together with two of the leading lights at German proofing developer CGS; sales director Christoph ‘Tommy’ Thommessen and product marketing manager Bernd Ruckett.
Russell Cavanagh DES sales director colour solutions described the event as a ‘stellar success’ with Ian Clare ascribing the scramble for seats as indicative of the interest in colour standards with the launch of ISO 12647-2 in Australia, and recent confusion over a local digital printer being ‘awarded’ an offset standard.
