Finalists, judges and industry representatives are preparing for the 2013 GASA Printovation Awards presentation evening, to be held in Sydney this Thursday October 3. A shortlist of 25 finalists has been posted on the Awards website, those up for gongs including Arria Design, the NSW Cancer Council, SOS Printing and Valiant Press. GASA says the competition had a record number of entries this year, with numbers up by 30 per cent, and says the judges were impressed with the overall standard of submissions. Garry Knespal, general manager of GASA, tells Australian Printer, “We have a great cross-section of entries covering across all aspects of the industry, with entrants from most Australian states, and New Zealand, in the shortlisted group. “Entries are scored based on innovation and creativity, along with technical and commercial application. The high calibre of the entries from different corners of our industry continues to impress the judges. There are some fantastic entries, and all will be revealed on the night.”
