Last week, we asked: “Does outsourcing to lower-cost countries represent a threat or opportunity to Australian and New Zealand printers?”
The results were:
50%: Both. A small number of ANZ printers will outsource successfully, but the majority will lose out
12%: Threat. Print buyers will cut out ANZ printers and source directly offshore
32%: Threat. Work will continue to go offshore, hurting our local print industry
6%: Opportunity. Local printers can improve margins by sourcing work offshore
