Range of solutions at Currie stand during show

It is available in 2, 4 and 8up versions. Also new on the Currie stand was the Horizon CABS5000 15 clamp gatherer / perfect binder with three knife trimmer, which Robinson says will enable the bigger printers to bring perfect binding in house.

It is a fully automated with touch screen operation, and according to Robinson loading the hoppers is the only manual activity. A medium pile Shinohara 66V with double diameter cylinders, able to take stock thickness of up to 0.6mm, was a highlight of the press side of the Currie stand, Robinson says medium pile helps keep the costs down.

Robinson professed surprise at the number of enquiries he was receiving for presses. Also attracting attention on the Currie stand was the Techkon closed loop colour management system, which works with the press, CIP3 and Mako in what Robinson says is an easy to use system.

Currie is also now offering a PMS ink service, in tins down to 1kg, thanks to a new mixing system that is being installed in its Melbourne headquarters.
