Printers have been treated to an exclusive wine tasting of glasses from $400 a bottle 2002 vintage Grange red providing ready cheer at the end of the day. Of more significance is the Pro C900, with which Ricoh has high hopes of becoming a significant player in the commercial digital colour space. PacPrint represents the first opportunity for most Australian printers to see the POroC900 in action.
Alongside the new Pro C900 Ricoh has an updated line up of fully integrated variable data printing solutions. These include Printshop Mail with Direct Smile, Printshop Web and Planet Press.
PacPrint is also the launch pad for three new black and white printers. The Pro 907 / 1107 / 1357 EX support stock up to 300gsm in paper stacks of up to 8,500 sheets. They incorporate multiple finishing options including what Ricoh says is the only fully inline automated ring binder, perfect binder, GBC stream punch and multi fold unit..
Ricoh also launched the latest MicroPress to the market, the V8, aimed at meeting the needs of the mid to high volume print on demand sector by providing a raster based digital document system that can efficiently produce complex short run colour or monochrome documents.
